Count Your Blessings. Everyone is Fighting a Battle.

A blind man sat on the corner of a busy street with tin cup and a sign that read, "I am blind, will you help me?" Occasionally people would pass him by and drop a few coins in the cup but that was it. One day a lady passed by, stood directly in front of the man, picked up his sign, turned it around to write on it. The blind man felt her shoes to identify her and without saying anything she put the sign back down and walked away. After that many people gave the blind man their change as they walked by. At the end of day the same lady came by and asked the man, "How was your day?" After the blind man felt her shoes he said, "What did you do to my sign, what does it say?" The lady told him that the sign now said:

"It is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it."

We have so much, so much that we take for granted. There are many people who would be grateful to be in our shoes and have the abilities we have. Although life is tough, everyone is fighting a different battle. We must look for the good in our lives and be grateful for all of our blessings even when it is hard to go through times of struggle. We can find strength in the Savior.

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, ye are little children, and ye have not as yet understood how great blessing the Father hath in his own hands and prepared for you; And ye cannot hear all things now; nevertheless, be of good cheer, for I will lead you along, The kingdom is yours and the blessings thereof are yours, and the riches of eternity are yours... And he that is a faithful and wise steward shall inherit all things."
