I know that families are important and it makes sense that we were sent here to a family, to be each others support, to learn and grow from each other. If we were meant to do it alone we would have been sent here each individually. We would have been selfish and self centered, not caring about others because it would be all we knew, to fend for ourselves. Family life can be a challenge, so many different personalities living together, trying to get along. But we must be there for each other, we must grow together, and lift one another up. We must seek for the good and not focus on the bad. After all each of us is fighting a battle, each of us has problems. We are here for a reason, not just for ourselves but to help others along this journey.
This is the second talk for President Uchtdorf that has talked about not holding grudges and making peace with people. That is two times in 6 months, it must be important and something that we need to hear.
